I am off all next week with nothing planned, but I was thinking of getting some others out of work next week for a ride. Nothing set as of yet, but I am open to ideas. I was thinking a ride at Case Mtn might be good! Any takers?

I have next week off as well. Though I've got family stuff planned here and there. I'll have to get my schedule figured out. I'll post up some possible times...

I work from home and can easily take 'extended lunches' when the need arises...I'll keep my eye on this thread for times and locations...I could also host a Nepaug, Res. or Huckleberry ride if that interests anyone.

Tuesday or Thursday look like the best days for me. A morning, afternoon or evening ride would be best. It would be tough for me to do a late morning that spanned into the afternoon as I'll have some kid taxi duties to attend to.

How does Tues or Thurs look to you guys? Have you ever ridden at Salmon River? IMHO its a lot nicer place to ride, though not as technical or abusive as Case.

Either way...

Only day of the week that is not good is Tuesday. Truck is going in for service. Thursday is good and morning is good, what's late morning? After 10? I figure a ride until about 11 or 12 would suit me just fine depending on abusiveness. Never been to Salmon River. Road the airline road through it. I still have Monday, Wed and Friday available as well. Nepaug would be a fun ride. I am still in beginning season mode. I don't move quiet as fast up hill :-( But still push as much as I could! I also might be hitting an afternoon ride at Bluff Point with another buddy of mine if anyone is interrested on that.

Monday - any time
Wednesday - any time
Thurs - Any time
Friday - Any time

Sound good?

Salmon River is a lot of climbing, it might be better to stick to Case, just to be sure... Let's pencil it for Thursday at 9:00? We'll ride a couple of hours. I usually start up on Birch Mt road by the radio towers, but wherever is fine by me.

Sounds good to me, I've only ridden from that point once. I've done it from the other end twice. I forget the name of the road though. But I will see you there for 9am. I drive a blue Dodge Dakota Quad Cab.

As far as I'm concerned this ride is ON! I'm jonesin for a ride. I'll be at the radio tower parking lot at 9:00 tomorrow morning. We'll ride 'til noon or so, depending on how things go.

Still on, I may be a bit slower than normal, hope you don't mind. Rode at Bluff point today and crashed myself in the parking lot. I can ride just don't want to overwork myself. Noon sounds good. Now I just have to recall how to get there. Think I remember.

See you tomorrow!!!

Probably too late to make a difference, but the radio towers are on Birch Mountain Road in Glastonbury. Birch Mt is off of route 94. At the top of the hill as you go from Glastonbury toward Hebron.

This one's probably too late, but thanks! See you there. I should be there on time, but who knows with Hartford traffic, I may be off this week but everyone else is working.

Yeah - NEMBA forums don't like the @ sign in the URL. You have to cut and paste the link into your browser or you can go to www.mtbr.com and go to the Passion discussion group. Look for a thread called "Vacation CT Ride".

That was a nice ride today... Gotta figure out my Sunday ride. Maybe I'll try hanging with the Pedal Power dudes...
