It seems like with every internet news site that I enter a pop-up window appears advertising some kind of spiffy deck of cards. Wanted Iraqi's, wanted Al Qaida terrorists, Saddam Hussein, Hillary Clinton, Notorious people at large, et. al.
What's the deal? Has anyone actually sent away for a deck? Why? Are they collectibles? Do people still play cards?
I have a deck of naked woman cards from about 20 years ago. Now, THAT was a good idea.

Those cards are all over the place now. I'm not sure how much of a collector's item they are anymore. However, when those ads first appeared, I decided to look on ebay to see how much they were selling for there. I notice people getting upwards of $60, $70, $80 per deck, yet they were easily available elsewhere for $4.95. So, being the capitalist jerk I am, I went and bought 20 decks for a whopping $100 and by the time I received them from the supplier (2 weeks later), the price had come down a bit on ebay. Anyways, I ended up making a $150 profit when all was said and done. Hey, it was the down payment on my most recent bike.....
It just goes to show you how foolish some people are about 'the latest and greatest' items - aka Elmo doll, beany babies, etc. Whatever....it was money in my pocket. Suckers!
