Something very strange happened yesterday that I wanted to share with ya'll (and get your opinion on it).... and it's ironic that NHiker just posted something about Knuck's avatar being disturbing.

I am traveling this week, and to make a long story short I couldn't get my laptop to work on the DSL, so I had to find a public computer to get my email.

The first odd thing happened when I checked hotmail. There was a porn banner ad with a very eager topless woman with totally fake breasts. How strange!

And then, I got a message that NHiker sent me a PM, so logged on to the forum. So I looked at it and, I kid you not, NHiker's avatar was a very surprising animation of a woman... shall we say.... deep throating a very large black... you get the picture. Every instance of NHiker's avatar was the same thing!

WTF???? I thought.

Well, I IM'ed my husband ("Hey, check this out!") But on his end, it still looked like Clint Eastwood.

So my question is: How did this happen?

We can assume that people on this computer have been practicing unsafe computing and surfing all sort of smut. There are probably weird cookies galore on here. Somehow different images and banner ads are being served up based on the computer accessing them. But how? What's actually going on?

I dont know alot about computer stuff. I dont know what was going on. I just hope you washed your hands after using that pc.

UH What! Clint and I are really offended. We are both gentlemen and monogamous. Geeze! I have seen programs and Cookies that will twist what you are seeing before though. In fact I think Gungy posted something on this site about a month ago snoop dawgs shizolater. What this did was make every thing you read looked like something presumedly the snoopster would have said. Ya man shizz! This would be a slightly less revolting version of the same type of program. Oh and Mrs Hiker pointed this string out to me with a "What is up here?" I mean Shizzz!
??? I guess this is Karma getting me for making fun of Knucks Wounderful Avatar! 8)

Sorry Mrs NHiker! Didn't mean to implicate your hubby in any wrongdoings. The hotmail site was doing the same thing.

It's just weird that that they can make that happen! Very scary. Maybe it's a bad idea to link to pics on that site, who knows.

I am glad I am not using that computer anymore... Justbill is right. I should go wash my hands!

And if anyone has any idea how that happens, let me know! I'm still curious!
