Never went to this event before, but am trying to talk my family into it. My kids are 10 and 8, and they and my wife all bike, but not too seriously.

It certainly looks like a fun time -- can anyone who has previously attended comment about the camping? More specifically, does it quiet down early enough so the kids can get some sleep?

Also, how about security -- what do people do with their bikes while they're not riding them? Is it sufficient to lock them to your car?

Any other concerns from a family perspective? Thanks for any info.

Tim -- I'm planning to bring my kids, 9 and 10. My only hesitation is that it's the weekend after the PMC, traditionally an off week for biking. You won't be the only one. As for my wife, she went mountain biking once and landed in the hospital.
