The household consists of me (32 year old female) and (2) cats.
Location: Medford, Massachusetts 02155
Floor plan: First floor apartment consists of living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and basement. There is also a lovely little backyard with a garden and porch, etc. If you are into gardening, I would be happy to share the space.
Rent: The new housemate's rent will be $650 per month plus splitting utilities.
Parking: There is plenty of parking on the street but I would be open to sharing the driveway (piggyback parking) as long as we could keep copies of each other's keys. Also, I don't really drive very much during the week so it should not be that big of a deal.
Basement: Other bonus features include full basement with some storage space available. Basement includes a bike stand and tool area that I am more than happy to share. Extremely BIKE FRIENDLY household.
Washer and Dryer: Yes. Belongs to me and I would be happy to share.
Furniture: Roommate would need to furnish their room (Though I probably have some stuff that the roommate could use if they want). Shared areas are fully furnished.
Public Transportation: One mile from the Orange Line in Malden Center, one mile to Wellington Station. There are also frequent buses on Salem street located five minutes (walking) at the end of my street.
Other Info: Beautifully decorated home. Awesome Italian neighborhood --> meaning there are many yummy Italian places to eat. Easy walk to convenience stores, gym. grocery, etc.
Available: July 15th, 2003.
Terms: I would prefer someone who can commit to a year.
My Ideal Roommate (General Thoughts): Female preferred; Employed full-time; Very Neat; Considerate; Honest; Non smoker; Healthy living habits. Basically, we need to meet and see how we get along. I will use my superior skills of intuition : ) but just as a back up, please be ready to provide some references.
About Cleanliness: Though I do not consider my self to be a "neat freak", general cleanliness is important to me. Basically I would like a roommate who likes to live in a nice environment; someone who can clean up after themselves. I am also open to splitting the cost of a cleaning service every two weeks.
About Me: My name is Johna. I am a 32 year old female. I have 2 cats. I am into biking, snowboarding, running, hiking, gym workouts, gardening and other healthful activities. I work full time as a web designer at Interactive Factory (www.ifactory.com) in Boston, MA. I also like to write songs on my acoustic guitar. There are other things, too, but these are the first things that come to mind.
