View Full Version : Mountain Bike Magazine - Can you get it at newstands anymore?

Do any of you guys subscribe to Mountain Bike Magazine anymore (it's now a special feature that is released less frequently by Rodale Press as part of Bicycling Magazine)?

Do any of you know if it's available at newstands or bookstores? I got pissed at Rodale when they ended Mountain Bike (not sure why I subscribed in the first place) and then had it incorporated into Bicycling Magazine and canceled my subscription.

I've heard that the latest supplement of Mountain Bike features a Balfa Belair review and I wanted to get my hands on it to read and make copies.

Anyone got the scoop on whether or not I can find it at my local Borders or Barnes and Noble?

July is a good month for Balfa as MBA has a review of the BB7 in it's July edition as well (and a small photo/blurb on the Belair towards the back).

Any input would be welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks!

Mark, two things:

1) Why would you want to piss away $4 on that pile of crap magazine? Spend an extra couple bucks and buy a Playboy instead.

2) I've got a gift subsription to Mountain Bike, so you can have my copy when it comes in. ;D ;D

Thanks Phil!

I don't really want to piss away $4 and I figure I could write it off as a business expense on my IRS form next year! ;) My objective is to make copies of the article to distribute to Balfa dealerships or potential new ones.

I'm just busting your nuts. :D But really, you can have my copy when it arrives. Has that gone out yet, or is it on its way?

NOO was the one who alerted me to the Belair review so I guess it is hitting subscribers mailboxes now.

Keep me posted when yours arrives. Thanks!!!

Thanks Bob. I'll let you know.....but IAB is my riding bud so I'll probably be able to get it from him sooner.

Which Ventana bike did they review in that issue? Was it the Pantera?

Yep, the Pantera

I think everyone on this board that gets Mountain Bike magazine should send Mark their copies. That way he'll have enough coppies of the Balfa article to hand to his customers and potential customers. :D

One is cool IAB...........I can just hit Kinkos and get color copies made of the Belair review and the BB7 review and write it off as a business expense. ;D

OK, but I was thinking that maybe you could pull the Balfa articles out of all the Mountain Bike copies, then recycle the rest of the magazines and donate the recycle money to save Vietnam. All that recycling should net you a cool four or five cents. :D
