Bear Brook Trail Closures

DON'T PANIC!

But......due to current logging a couple of sections of trail are currently CLOSED. The portions of Little Bear and Carr that abut Hayes Field are the trails in the closure. The logging goes quickly, but I am unsure of the short term impact to the trails.

I have not attempted to get up Hall Mountain yet, as those surrounding trails are sure to be ponds right now, so I don't know of any closures out there.

The rest of the park seems to be in great shape despite all of the rain! Get out and enjoy!

Is this about to start? I was there in monday night and didn't see anything on Little Bear...

Yeah, this is current, they were hauling logs on Monday afternoon. It only affects the sections of trails that dump into Hayes Field....by the pit toilets. It really doesn't have a huge impact, but you could get suprised when putting together a loop connecting to the field. Looks like they'll be done soon, hopefully with very little trail interruption.

Today's trail care day has opened the section of Carr ridge trail that drops into Hayes field that has been closed because of logging. The trail was rerouted, making for .25 miles of NEW singletrack.
All the traffic next weekend at the roast & ride outta pack it out nicely!
