Well, I think I'm done screwing around with this Titus. Basically, beefed it up a bit so it can handle my clumsy and wreckless style. ;)
She got a much needed bath tonight.

First step was a shock upgrade. Snapped up one of those 2001 Z-1's all these guys are selling. It came with the beefy QR20 zoke hub and a Mavic D521 rim. Strong!
What a difference a quality shock makes.

I am so impressed with the Mavic 521 that I decided to get one for the rear. Strong & stiff. Sure I'm putting some more weight on this bike, but I'm already slow...now I have a reason. ;)

This rear wheel came built up with a real nice Hadley hub. Built to last...fully serviceable...love it.

Gave Landry's the task of swapping out the headset for the new king. They did a good job...almost lined up the logo's. ;)

Well she went from light X-C to strong trail bike. She handles the trails quite nicely now. I enjoy the ride even more now.
Anyway, here's where she stands as of now, and I think she's done....for now. ;)
Cheers

Hey buddy,
I like the look of that bike. Cool.
Sorry, I can't ride this weekend. Promised a family weekend to the cape. Supposed to be camping Sat nite, but if it's raining...no way. I'll ride in the rain, but I hate camping in the rain.

SloMo, That rig looks bombproof now. How much do you think it weighs with all those new beefy parts?
From the looks of you, I suspect this set up feels more solid under you while riding.
Did you find all those parts off the internet as well? I see that rear wheel came set up with the Hadley.......how do you like?
JT had one for his wheelset on his bullit, but it wasn't compatible. I wonder if he sold it.
Another question, what is the black stuff on the seat tube and at the v-section of the top tube?
Nice Ride Slo!!

"What the black stuff on seat tube?"...poor man's cable rub protection...electrician's tape. ;) Also put it where my bike rack clamps down. Give's it that "do it yourselfer look". ;)

One more question Slo - what kind of digicam do you use? Your pictures are awesome.
I'd like to get a digital camera in a month or so.

Sure Mark.
Digital camera.....there's many to choose from.
I went with Fujifilm 2600 Zoom. Good price at @ $200, and good reviews. Happy so far. Check here for review and prices. http://www.epinions.com/content_50201333380
Good Luck...there are many to choose from.

Similar to the one I have... Its ok in full light. The flash is very limited, probably only good to 15 feet or so. The shutter lag can be frustrating when you're trying to get an action shot, though my kids seem to have no problems with it.
IMHO the pic quality and color representation are really good. I'm not very patient when I'm riding. I hate pulling the thing out.

Thanks for the info Slo, but if I bought a Fuji I think my Dad frown upon me from above. You see he worked for Kodak for most of his career (except for a very early career stint at a bank).
Anybody using a Kodak Digital Camera and if so how do you like it?
