I'm rooting for the Mighty Ducks, and I know JT is too because he basically hates all things related to New Jersey, but who do you guys and gals think is going to take home the Stanley Cup??

And how many games do you think the series will go?

Who will emerge as the "money" goaltender? Giguere or Brodeur?

Should be one helluva great series IMO!

Bring on the Finals!!

I liked Pat burns when he was here but I'm rooting for anaheim too.

Hopefully the long layoff won't hurt them!

GO ANAHEIM!!!!! I don't think New Jersey has the offense to win.

Did you see Brodeur's wife filed for divorce because Martin is a cheating whore?

When is that playoff beer fest JT was talking about? ???

Go Ducks!!!!

Good question about the JT Cup Bash/Beer Fest.....hmmm......where the hell is he anyway? Maybe he's still painting up in VT.

I say we make it a night when we can squeeze in a post work ride and then watch the game afterwards! What say ye IAB?

BTW, I found an apartment in Avon - 2BR and I can keep my dogs!...just need to figure out where I'm going to fit all my friggin bikes now. But I'll find room. Hell I can just sit on the 2Step DH and watch TV from that thing......it's certainly plush enough! ;D

Randee mentioned you loked at an apartment. Is that the one right on route 44? SWEET! Congratulations! When can you move in? Benindorm (sp?) bike shop is right up the street.

Post work bikes, beers, and pucks sounds good to me! Game two is Thursday night. I've got no plans. 8)

Yep right on Rt44 and yep...Benidorm is just up the road a bit! :D

Thursday night sounds awesome for bikes, beers and pucks whether the beers and pucks are at someone's house or a pub or sportsbar!

I'm in!!

I can move in to the apartment on June 15th!! ;D ;D

Anyone want to help a guy move into an apartment following the Roast and Ride Festivities!? ;D

I'm pulling for New Jersey myself. They have a team of good guys and gritty veterans, led by the grittiest of them all, Pat Burns.

Besides, I can never cheer for any team with a stupid name like "Mighty Ducks". Screw Michael Eisner.

I would love to see New Jersey lose the first 4 in a row.

The red sox are gonna win the cup. Hey you guys should be paying attention to your wives/girlfriends, not wasting time with useless hockey.

Guys,

You will have to excuse my alter ego knucklebusta, you see when he was a child he was always picked last in gym class for all the events (due to his lack of coordination) now he hates all things that have to do with "traditional" sports. He dosent understand that people enjoy many different things in life, including sports and yes these sports can be enjoyed without pushing the wives and girlfriends to the "back burner". So Knucklebusta if you dont like hockey dont reply to a hockey post............... Lets go Ducks!

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I just don't understand how people can sit and drink beer and watch sports for 3 hours. I guess I never tried either. If mountain bike racing was televised, I'd be on da couch right next to ya. I just don't get hockey, basketball, baseball and football and the whole insanely dedicated fan thing and freezing your as* off at a Pats game. Enjoy the game however. I'll be tossing myself off.

Pulling for the Ducks and FORMER HARTFORD WHALER Jean-Sebastien Giguere.

Former Whaler? When did he play for Hardford? Which AHL
team(s) did he play for? I don't remember him playing for
Springfield when they were affiliated with Hartford.
tk

go Anaheim. I suppose I should be rooting for the east coast
team but for some reason, I've never liked NJ. Besides, they
knocked the Bruins out of the playoffs.....

He was drafted by Hartford in 95 and played for Halifax. He only played about a half dozen games for Hartford in their last year (96-97). I remember him wearing bright red pads that clashed horribly with the Whaler uniform.

Suddenly Anaheim looks like the team they were entering the playoffs as an 8 seed. They have no remedy whatsoever to the trap. Now the question remains as to whether they will even tally a goal. With the series now going to Anaheim for the next two, they'll likely score a couple, but the damage has been done. I smell sweep.
