My bikes are already broke in. Snapped a 40mm stanction on my Monster T on my Kona, and taco'd a maciv 321 Rim on my gack speed demon MTB. Broken in is not the word. Fortunately though, a new monster T is on it's way while the other one gets fixed ((warranty)) and a new set of trailpimp rims are on the plane as we speak yo. Knuckle

YOU STILL DON'T HAVE THAT BIKE!!!! Gee I wonder why, maybe it's because of my friends at Aggie who are riding THREE new Citron Blurs!

And BTW my TREK is a 17.5" frame -THAT'S A MEDIUM SIZE!

I let Dave from BS ride it and his balls got stuck in my new saddle. StelleItalia TransAm, either he has a really small unit or his massive weight crammed his junk into the hole, but as he tried to dismount the bike the saddle stuck to him like glue, followed by him rolling around on the ground in pain. HA HA.

That was at Fort Rock, I'm starting to hit that place on Thursday nights, NOO can you DO?

Knuckleboob -

Some economists worry about us entering a deflationary state because spending is down...they obviously haven't monitored your spending prowess - like that of a drunken sailor.

Also - is it true you got a thing for UPS guy so you keep ordering new stuff to replace your "broken" parts...? ;D

NO i hate that FAT BASTARD that brings my parts late all the time
I drive around at about 5pm caus I know his route near my house. I stop him and get my stuff. I'm serious. He's like JEESH I WAS GONNA COME BY. I'll say "WRONG ANSWER SUZIE-Q wheres my sh*t?"
Yeah sucks breaking parts. I'm so impatient, I had to order a 1200.00 fork cause I don't want to wait for Marzocchi take their sweet time getting my fork tube. I guess I went too high :-X
Oh well, the one I'm getting has stiffer springs, and the taco of the rim was my fault. "I diddn't know the drop was 10' to flat, well actually I diddn't intend to hit it. It was a weird off camber corner and I went down the side of a rivine and had to hit a flat rock to try to stop but instead launched off the rock down 10' to flat on my hard tail. Thank god for the 4130 cro-mo gack. The 321 rim couldn't take it though. So I'm getting the trailpimps. Knuckle

I be at Ft. Rock anytime my friend. I usually ride Thursday mornings there (well when I used to ride before I became a fat danish kid) but could mix it up for you. Does the whole BS group go?

I heard after his crash Dave's unit got real small! ;D

Ya, when I was 13 I had a girlfriend in the Niagra Falls area..she was hot...but none of my buddies met her because, like I said, she lived in Niagra Falls area.

10ft to flat with a backflip over a ravine? About as real as my Niagra Falls girlfriend.... :o

I said nothing about a backflip dud. It was an accident and I landed almost sideways off a ledge, cliff, rivine, whatever you want to call it. 10' to flat, thats all. Nothing spectacular or unbelievable about that is there? Jesus.

Well there were a bout 8 or so from the BS crew, but DaBomb and I kind of lost them. hooked up with Richard from VA. It was supposed to be a slow mellow ride, but I havn't quite figuered out how to ride "mellow". we lost Dave in the parking lot.

So unless it is raining, I'll be there at 6pm. I'll understand if you have some sort of baby deal and can't show.

NOO,

I was at the Cutting Edge in Berlin on Monday night and they had three Blurs all built up waiting for lucky customers to come in and take them away. One was a Black Ano Blur -Maybe they got yours by accident!? :o

Sure hope tomorrow really means tomorrow for you!

BTW, are you doing any riding over the long weekend, weather permitting?

Cheers,

I'm sure mine is taking extra long because they had customize it by reinforcing the gussets for when I drop 35 fters with Knucklescrapper. Plus I'm short and fat so I ordered a 'speciality' bike.

I'll be riding up in the Wolfeboro area (houghtons pond, Gunstock, etc.) this weekend....I'll also be plucking bass out of the lake like no bodies business...rain or shine...

It's easy to get there Kev- 95 north to Hampton toll, get 0n 101 west about 10 minutes to exit 10 -take a left onto Newfields road- you'll see a train bridge that the road goes under- right before that bridge take a right and that's the parking lot.
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&address=&city=exe ter&state=nh&zipcode=&homesubmit=Get+Map

You will defiantly like riding here Kev, no big hills, cool plank bridges, and great rocks of various sizes to huck off of.

Yea that helmet is the best, (at least that is what they said in mountain bike action) I order it up faster than you can say "credit card debt" and waited for the fat UPS driver to come within 5 miles of my house. When he came around the corner I threw nails in the street to give him a flat tire and then I attacked. I ripped all the sh*t out of the truck till I found my new "cool" helmet. The UPS guy was all mad so I called him a fat hippie commie liberal scumbag and ran away

Dude I'm sorry- I didn't think you were going -crap! My buddy bailed on me, nobody from the BS crew was going, and my allergies hit me all of a sudden like a ton of bricks, I couldn't breath! So I stayed home and played Matrix on my XBOX. I'm sorry, we need to communicate better. I would have gone if I knew you going for sure, I just figured new baby, new bike means no Noo. Did you have the Blur???

No problem. I ended up bailing early anyway. I was not on the Blur.

Well it did arrive in late May (one month behind schedule). I have been on it quite a bit to say the least. One bad crash on it during week 2 to 'annoint" it. It has lived up to my expectations. Climbs and descends great. No problems setting up the AVA with VPP. Still working out a few kinks in the fork but overall this bike is impressive. Satisfied buyer and I would recommend.

As far as complaints, I have two:

1. 12.75 BB height, I still wack that sucker on rocks, etc.

2. Rear triangle mud clearance. Plenty o' mud the last few weeks and I could use more clearance. I run 2.3's as well so it is a little tight. Nothing catastrophic.

Looking back, I did end up saving some cash buy building up the frame with new and existing parts vs. going with a SC parts kit. For what I ended throwing at this thing, I wouldn't have gotten as durable parts groups..king...thomson...XT....Truvativ... (hubs/wheels will get swapped in the next season or two).

NOO,

Nice!!

Looks Great,
Nice parts pick! Mmmmmmmmmm . . . Chris King!
I had the chance to pedal a Blur around the block last week. Felt VERY nice and the VPP definately seemed to do it's job under load. I had gotten one of those AVAs with the DAWG frame but, sold it on eBay. How are you liking it? How does it feel?

Thanks Gungy -

As far as the AVA. not sure how much help I'll be in answering that one. I guess I'll say that it works well for the intended use. As you know, The VPP is a different kettle of fish and plus I am not technically or mechanically advanced enough to spot a weakness. I know the AVA is supposed to provide a more linear or progressive travel depending on what you are looking for. SC recommends running it full linear with VPP. It feels fine, hasn't blown out and the shop did a good job of setting it up. I'm tipping the scale at 170lbs these days and I have no complaints. When I hit a bump it feels pretty plush the whole way through. I have bottomed out a couple times.

I could have upgraded to the Fifth Element Air but was concerned about the wait :D
