I can't wait to see these guys again!
The first is one of my all time faves and I might just play hookie from work this afternnon to go and catch the sequel. I know I'm not the only one anxiously awaiting to see this one, either. I'll be rooting for the bad guys, again... and for plenty more of Carrie-Ann Moss (wearing less? one can hope).

This is not a spoiler.
Caught the 5:20 showing at Randolph Showcase. Mr. Cheeze gives it 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. Not sure why this movie got an R rating. Great special effects. Complicated premise at times. But well worth the go see, especially at a place like Randolph with Dolby Surround and stadium seating. If you liked the first one you cannot not like this one.

the movie kicked ass. It was rated R because of that one sex scene.

Oh, you mean the one where you couldn't see anything and all they basically showed was a zoomed in shot of kissing? Please. They show more on NYPD Blue. That can't be why. Can't be. Nope.
Must be because of violence.
One thing I did notice. A disproportionate amount of black people seem to live in Zion. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but couldn't help but notice.

lol
You weren't the only one to notice that. ;D
I gave the flick 4 out of 5 stars. Some of the dialogue confused me. I need to see the movie again, next time on IMAX when it comes to Hartford. The fight scenes are incredible.
I still like the first one better. You just can't top perfection. :)

Are you serious about this coming to IMAX? That could be very cool. Although, I must say that I thought there was a bit too many fight scenes. I thought I was watching Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon for awhile there.

I thought there was a little too much dialogue and not enough action. However, the freeway scene kicked ass. 8)

Huh? Three quarters of the movie was nothing but action. I mean, the special effects were impressive and all but there needs to be a story, too. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun movie, but a little too much action, I think.
Did you see the trailer for Matrix III after all of the credits rolled? Looks like more of the same stuff. Enough with the karate and dodging bullets and crap. I hope III puts the plot front and center like in the first one.

I am serious! ;D The first one was on the IMAX screen in Hartford for a few weeks this past March, but I missed it. "Reloaded" is coming in June 2003.

They cut 20 minutes of footage for the IMAX movie. Therefore see the regular one first.
Who else thought the action scenes looked way too much like a crappy videogame? I thought it looked great, as long as they didn't try to use a computer tooooooooooo much (note, when Neo flies. And what the hell is up with that? If he can fly, why doesn't he fly away from the damn agents!)
Overall 9/10
The fight scenes were awesome, minus the heavy computer animation. Additionally, the plot continued to be excellent and it was overall a fun movie to watch.
