its older 1996 I want to know how much oil/and air presure? A shop told me to buy a new shock because it was bottoming out I asked if it just needed air they said maybe but probably a bad seal. I put a little air in and it has held fine for a few weeks Im affraid to ride it if it has too much air I dont want to blow a seal. Please if you know any sites that give tech info it would be appreciated

This guy is a great guy. Gerry is his name I believe....He actually used to tech over at Rock Shox....I would reccomend you "Pioneer" your old shock with RS for a NEW ONE....But Hippie Tech Susp may be able to keep your noble MAG 21 running for a while longer.
Good Luck.

I found the manual from my 95' Mag 21 and it recommends 40-42 psi with an operating range of 35-45. No mention of oil quantities though. It's a pretty weak manual and I'm not sure what might have changed in a year.
The 800 number listed in it is still valid if you want to call them 800 677-7177.
I'll mail it to you if you want to PM me your address or I can try to scan the 2 pages in English.

Thanyou Thankyou Presure is a good start the reason I wanted to know about oil well (LOL) I had the bike upside down and thought hmmm I should let some air out so I proceded to stick the air pin in to let the air out. I remembered at that point I did know there was oil in there too. Thank you all I would love a part breakdown if its in that manual. I went to the bike shop the other day to try to get a rapid fire shifter he said they only come in the 9 speed. Dont you love technology?

Yeah,
I was gonna say that as I remember I never went over 40psi with my RS Mag 21.
