Let's here about your rides this weekend.

I wanna hear the stories since I could not ride this weekend, needing to spend time at home after last week's trip.

So ,where did ya go?

3.5 hours at the Res. in West Hartford followed by a well-deserved, honkin' cookout. It does not get much better. Rode a couple log stunts (with wheelie dismounts) which had previously always eluded me and was the only one in my group to clear a new and pretty large log pile down along the eastern fence line. Good company, great weather, awesome day. Thanks for asking!

FWIW The conditions at the Res. are pretty dry at this point. Still a few wet spots (due to the recent rain?) but totally ridable.

I had a long riding weekend that started Thursday:
Thursday early a.m.-Harold Parker, singletrack
Friday early a.m.- Harold Parker, singletrack
Saturday a.m.- Lynn Woods, technical ride
Saturday p.m.- Fort Rock, singletrack
Sunday all day- Beverly/Cape Anne, technical & singletrack
Monday early a.m.-Harold Parker, singletrack

Why all the riding? 3 days in Alberta last week & 5 in TX this week makes Johnny a dull boy without riding:(

Have a great week on the trails!

We road some of the prettiest singletrack track I have seen in NH this week end in Casailis State Forrest ....Very diversified terrain but sort of undergroomed. Miles of single and double track with plenty of hills to climb and fly down.
Still sorta wet in the low lands and a couple of very sweet streams to run beside.

We (IAB, MBC, Jolly Time, Mrs. Jolly Time and I) rode at Meshomasic on Sunday. The weather was great, the company was great. My puking sucked. I had a great time and I think the rest of our group did too!

Looking forward to doing it again soon - minus the puking part. ;D

I had an awesome time yesterday! It's always fun riding a place for the first time. 8)

That post ride brew was good too. Thanks, Mark! Harpoon summer ale....must go get some. :)

How are you feeling today? Puke feeling all gone?

Feelin better today IAB, No further puking yesterday either, although I didn't have an appetite until this morning.

Drank plenty of fluids last night and I'm feeling that good Monday post-ride with friends feeling today.

So the Summer Brew was good stuff eh? I didn't even get a chance to try any of the brew - and I still think Mike should have tested that bottle opener on his Heckler - Oh well! Maybe after he gets a few more scratches on that Trans Red frame set!

But man that water and Gatorade never tasted so good as when we got back to the vehicles! What a great day it was.

Cheers,

Mark

I ventured off to a land called Green Hill Park in Woosta. I was pretty psyched to find it. It's somewhat small, but there is a lot of cool **** in there to hurt yourself on. The good thing is that it's high up and there are plenty of places for the life flight to land if need be. There was even a nicely sculpted dirt jump section, plenty of windy technical singletrack, smoothe singletrack, fire roads, hills. I'm psyched I found that place. 5 minutes from my crib. The terrain is somewhat like nam, plenty of slate to drop off of. Some high, some 40' some small. I actually went off a dirt jump. It was only 1.5 feet high, but I felt like superman when I hit that thing. I think I went 3' in the air. Awesome place to do some short loops, runs etc, and some very hilly sections too, and some other trails I've yet to check out yet. Kept me busy for 4-5 hours though. Highly recommend it for freeriders. Knuckle

Went to Blue Hills on Sunday. It was a good time. Very technical. The only bad thing is that some of the trails are extremely rutted up from a truck that must have driven through while the trails were still muddy. Does anyone else on here ride Blue Hills often?

SWEET!! 8) Did any of the snobby roadies gives you funny looks? I did a 25 mile charity ride last year on my beefy Quasi Moto, complete with knobby tires, bash ring, and all. I was getting funny, snobby looks from some of the roadies. They can eat me. :D

Nope, cuz I was keeping up with them:) averaged over 15 mph...they were kinda holding back b/c they had some newbie road riders...the last 5 miles was a race for our group and I hung on for the first mile but couldn't keep up due to the low gearing...I was spinning around 110rpms in the highest gear just to keep up...

it was great training though...road riding is so much different that mtn biking with respct to energy usage...
