Despite the weather yesterday, a few of us decided to do the 1st SS mini epic of the season. We do a ride out of my place in Bedford that goes through Estabrook in Concord to a bunch of side trails in Carlisle to Greatbrook and then on some different trails back to Estabrook. We shoved off early, at 4:35pm under light rain and temps near 40 degrees.
The trails were in pretty good shape. Even the sections that we expected to be a horror show weren't all that bad. We ended up haveing a great ride, though it was a death march for sure, for me at least.
The total was 34 miles in just over 3 hrs. No technicals or mishaps to note. Probably 90% of this was offroad with a couple little tie ins on pavement.
