In the Vietnam action alert last June, these were the requirements for NEMBA to secure the two parcels:
1. Holliston would have to put conservation restrictions (CR) on their public open space properties and apply for a community self-help grant funded by the Land and Water Conservation Fund to help purchase the Fairbanks parcel.
2. Milford would need to put a CR on their public open spaces, and help convince the private water company to do the same.
3. NEMBA would need to raise the money needed ($250K) to purchase an adjacent parcel.
I know we're making ok progress on the way to the $200K (or $250K?) we need, but what is the status on the other two action items? Are Holliston and Milford waiting for us to raise the money before they act?
Is there a possibility that we raise the money and the deal still falls though?
