Rode Meshomasic on Sunday.

Predictably, the higher areas were dry and very nice. Low areas and places where ATV's and motorcycles have been doing their thing were pretty wet and torn up.

Definitely worth going out, though, considering we're supposed to get how much snow tonight ?

I'd love to hook up with someone to ride Meshomasic. I haven't ridden there in a couple of years. The guy I used to follow around there no longer rides. I'm certain I'd get lost, I remember a lot of turns.

Lost ? Its part of the charm of the place. I've only ridden there 1/2 dozen times or so, so I'm still exploring alot and getting waaayyyyyy lost every time I go.

We'll have to get together once this spring really starts (after yet another storm of snow melts!). Where do you start from? We used to start from a dirt road and end up by the Nike site.

Sounds like a good idea. Some of the areas are going to need alot more time to dry out. There's lots of mudholes and standing water in areas. This made for alot more hike-a-bike than I like.

I usually start from the south end off of clark hill rd in East Hampton. Its closer to my house. The last couple times I've just gone ahead and ridden the four miles from house to trailhead.

I have found what I think is the Nike site, but I'm not sure. Elevated trail, barbed wire fence, old open (ventilation ?) shafts close to the trail. Is that it ?
