Anyone up for a 10:00 a.m. or so ride in and around Central, CT?
And if so, what trails are in the best condition?
I'm in, IAB is in, who else would like to get out and ride on Saturday!?
And if so, feel free to suggest a spot!
I am ready to ride east, west, north, or south of the Hartford area!
Cheers,
Mark

I've lost about 15 pounds since the last time I rode, so it'll be interesting to see how that affects my riding. :D

Wow! I wish I could say the same IAB......but for some reason I haven't lost a thing going through all this crap I've been going through.
Ironically, while my wife was cheating on me she lost a ton of weight (I think it was the guilt).....she now looks better than ever physically.......Oh well such is life I guess.
I sure hope some other CT riders pick up on this thread and show some interest in RIDING!!! Saturday!!!
Cheers,
Mark

Hey Mark:
Unfortunately I can't make a Saturday ride, but I plan on going out on Sunday AM, I think we're riding at Salmon River in Colchester. We'll hook up sooner or later.
I just did a lunch time ride (first one of 2003 Yeah!). I do a 7 mile loop from the office - all uphill on the way and all downhill on the way back. Not that long, but its a good lunch time distraction.

I'd be up for a ride or two over the weekend. I watch the 'little man' on Saturday mornings so the afternoon is better for me, but I could probably do a Sunday AM ride.
I've heard Case is in good shape, but I don't know it well. We rode Nepaug tonight and it is still pretty wet. Walked a lot. I'm not sure what the weekend will be like. Huckleberry is decent now and could be a good bet for the weekend.

The weather report is calling for rain showers Friday and Saturday. SON OF A BITCH! >:(
Maybe we should reschedule for Sunday? Sunday is supposed to be nice.

I'm lining up a ride with a friend coming in from out of town, sort of a bon voyage trip, he's leaving to hike the PCT in a few weeks. I have a feeling timing will be set at the last minute. I'll have to hook up with you guys next weekend or something.

I'm pretty flexible for Sunday. Any suggestions? I have a buddy who knows Case well enough to lead an excursion there. I'll give him a call. Otherwise, I'm open. I'm still planning to do Huckleberry Saturday afternoon weather permitting if anyone's interested. I was out there this afternoon. Awesome. You can put together a pretty dry ride there if you where to avoid.

Rain or more rain I'll be headed to Westwoods on Saturday. My brother from up north will be joining me so I'm not sure exactly of the time. Perhaps 10. Perhaps 12. Anyone is welcome to join, but be warned --- I plan on more a of a relaxed xc/ freeride ride. So if your not into playing around on rocks and logs you'd probably get pretty bored.
I may be up for a little on Sunday....I know it well enough to find all the good stufff...now to find out way out, that's another story.

I can't do the Saturday a.m. ride thing, but I plan to do Huckleberry in Avon on Saturday afternoon if the weather holds out. All are welcomed.
Also, a buddy and I are tentatively planning to do Case starting at about 10:00am on Sunday. All are welcome there too.
