I know you can get a replacement one direct from foxracingshox, but I think they get $25 bucks or so.

Fox is also really good on warranties and sometimes opt to give you a different spring for nothing in cases where you "just got a new one". (afterall its good advertizing for them -vs- hearing your complaints on the trail)

A Fox Forx I bought new last year came -w- a pamphlete that said to call if the spring installed isn't the correct weight range. I did and they shipped a different one for nothing.

Wouldn't hurt to call.

Typically the spring will have two numbers in the form of;

<spring_weight> X <delta_length>

where spring_weight is the amount of weight it takes to compress the spring and delta(change_in)_length is the effective travel of the spring expressed in number of inches between static and fully compressed.

The other things that you care about are overall length and ID (inside_diameter) of the spring.

Sounds like my spring is too big. Running a spring with more travel than a shock is designed for is very bad. Ideally, a shock will never bottom out, the spring will. Bottoming a shock out can be yucky ;)

Actually be carefull, because bottoming a spring is not at all good for the spring or the spring perches on the shock or the frame. Major mech shock loads! Shocks are generally designed with bottoming cushions to ensure there is not a harsh metal to metal stop with attending shock wave and springs are designed to be realitively linear within certain travel limits.

Agent, sent a message but not sure if you recieved it. Spring is available, it is an extra, it is new, cost me nothing and will send it to you if you want it for shipping cost or trade for 75 mm stem or whatever. Just looking for someone who could use it.
