I know this subject has been done to death both on this board and all other MTB forums... but I'll ask it anyway as I would really appreciate some comments.
I've narrowed the choice down to three tires
IRC Mythos XC (2.1) - seem v.popular and dead cheap now ( 2 for $25)
IRC Serac (2.1) - replacement for Mythos? expensive (~$39 each)
Panracer Fire XC Pro (2.1) - what I have now - totally worn out and need replacing. I've been happy with them - but want to know if there is something better.
Obviously tire choice depends on type of trail, rider style, trail condits and a bunch of other stuff. I'll be using them on a FS XC bike (I have a freeride/DH bike so I dont need a big volume agressive DH tire) on trails all over Mass (Wamp, Nam etc) from spring - or whenever this white s***t finally disappears - through to the winter.
Any thoughts?
