Carrabassett Adventure Ride & CRNEMBA Party and Annual Meeting

Saturday, September 29, 2018
9:00AM to 9:00PM
Event/registration details below.

We invite you to the Carrabassett Adventure Ride (part of the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA)'s Kona MTB Adventure Series) on Saturday, September 29, at the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. Come ride the epic trails of the Carrabassett Valley trail network during peak foliage. Join us for riding fun followed by complimentary beverages (for folks ages 21+) courtesy of Baxter Brewing Co. as well as burgers and hot dogs. We’d welcome anyone bringing along a potluck side to add to the feast. We hope you’ll stay for our informal annual meeting.

Riders of all abilities are welcome and invited. There will be guided rides (see details below) as well as self-guided routes clearly marked for those who wish to venture on their own. Ride guides will show you the trail system with riders of similar ability with an emphasis on having fun and connecting with fellow riders.

Anyone with or without a bike, from the Valley or beyond, and current NEMBA members and soon to be members who want to be introduced to the trail network and CRNEMBA, to just ride the trails, or most importantly, to have some fun!

Bike rentals are available at Allspeed Cyclery & Snow (located at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center).

Expect the party to begin when you return from your afternoon ride, about 4:00ish, with complimentary beverages. Grilling of hot dogs and burgers will begin as soon as folks are ready to eat! Food will be available at the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center, again free to all riders and guests. Potluck is welcomed.

Please join us for an informal meeting with CRNEMBA Board members to learn what we are doing, our relationship with the Carrabassett Valley Trails, and to ask questions and share your hopes and wants for CRNEMBA.

Registration will be available at the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center, beginning at 9:00 AM. Each rider will be required to sign a liability waiver.

- CRNEMBA or NEMBA members from any other chapter: $10/person suggested donation.

- Non-members: $25/person

- Renewing or joining NEMBA the day of the event: Free
(New Chapter Memberships: $35/individual; $45/family)

- Kids ages 15 and under: Free with a registered parent or guardian.

You may join CRNEMBA online, before the event, by visiting https://carrabassettnemba.org/cr-nemba-members/

Parking will be available at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, in the lower parking lot.

The goal for this event includes a celebration of our bike community and further recruitment of members. Thanks to the remarkable support we receive from our members, volunteers, sponsors, and partners, our trail network will continue to expand! As is always the practice for CRNEMBA, financial proceeds will be directed towards further development of CRNEMBA and the trail system we are creating with our partners.
