October 4 2014 9:00am to 1:30pm
Come join the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Greater Boston Chapter of NEMBA in celebrating the 2014 International Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at the Middlesex Fells.
The event will open at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 4th, 2014 and there will be guided group rides at an easy pace starting at 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am. At 12:30pm we will break for lunch. After lunch we will be doing a raffle (all registered kids get tickets - no purchase required) for donated prizes from area bike shops.
There will also be mtb skills activities at the registration area and bike-themed art activities as well as water, juice and snacks!
The rides will be lead by NEMBA Ride Guides and the NEMBA Mountain Bike Patrol will be staffing and riding along as well. The rides are recommended for ages 8 and up and children will need to be able to ride without training wheels. Parents are welcome to ride along! Helmets required! (We will have a limited number of loaner helmets and bikes available - please contact Adam if you would like to reserve use of them)
