Park Serve Day at Wompatuck State Park
with the Friends of Wompatuck State Park
Hingham, Massachusetts
May 12, 2007

About 24 volunteers, including a number of young people, came to Wompatuck to help beautify two new kiosks made by the Friends of Wompatuck. The group planted pansies in the flowerboxes at the front gate and around the veteran’s flag pole.
The kiosks now look wonderful, with rhododendrons, Rose of Sharon, Arborvitae, Lilacs,
variegated grasses planted in peat moss and rich loam. After the volunteers finished work, everyone shared a couple of slices of pizza and some went on a nice ride, including a couple on a tandem bicycle.
