National
Trails Day

Pioneer Valley NEMBA
Pioneer Valley NEMBA celebrated National Trails
Day by putting on the finishing touches on a new singletrack
trail at Wendell
State Forest that the group has been working on since
2004. Five volunteers rock armored the transition off
of some of the bog bridges, and groomed the trail
by removing stumps and pesky roots. The small but dedicated
crew of eager volunteers from Franklin and Hampshire counties
will continue the fine-tuning work over the summer.
